Calgary
Calgary is Canada's third most populous city, the most populous province in Alberta, and the fifth most populous metropolitan region in the country. It is located in the south of the province, about 80 kilometers east of the Rocky Mountains. Founded in 1875, Calgary is currently a financial and commercial center, home to the headquarters of Canada's major oil companies.
Tourism
The center of Calgary comprises a wide variety of bars, shops, restaurants, shopping centers, cultural activities and public squares such as the Olympic Plaza. Tourist attractions downtown include Calgary Zoo, World of Science, Convention Center, Chinatown, Glenbow Museum, Calgary Tower, Calgary Art Gallery, and EPCOR Center for the Performing Arts. With 1.01 ha, the Devonian Gardens is one of the largest urban indoor parks in the world. Also in the center is Prince's Island Park. The "17 Avenue" is known for its many bars, restaurants, shops and nightclubs. Also known is "Stephen Avenue", a pedestrian street known for its many shops and its steel "trees".

Attractions in the western part of the city include the Heritage Park Historic Village, illustrating life in Alberta before 1914 and comprising still-functioning historical vehicles such as the steam locomotive. The village itself comprises a mix of replicas of old buildings and historic, relocated structures from various parts of southern Alberta. Other major attractions of the city include the Canada Olympic Park (and Canada's Olympic Walk of Fame), the Calaway Park amusement park, the Spruce Meadowse Equestrian Center, the Calgary Circuit.

Petro-Canada Center
The one in Calgary can be easily recognized by its large cluster of skyscrapers seen from a long distance. Some of these structures, such as the Calgary Tower and Pengrowth Saddledome are unique symbols of Calgary. In total, there are 10 office towers that are 150 meters (with an average of 40 floors) or more. The highest of these is the Petro-Canada Center, which is the tallest office tower in Canada, outside of Toronto. The Bankers Hall Towers are also Canada's tallest twin towers.

To link the various office buildings in the city, the city also has the most extensive skyway network (high, connecting bridges, for example 2 buildings) in the world, officially called +15. The name derives from the fact that bridges usually 15 feet (4.6 meters) above the ground.
Weather
Weather and weather in Calgary are highly unstable, although the city has a reputation for its very cold winters. The instability of time comes from the clash of two fronts, a cold polar coming from the north, and a hot one, coming from the south. In addition, the dry, cool Chinook winds from the Pacific Ocean raise the city's temperature to about 20 ° C in winter and can last for several days.

In the summer, Calgary has maximum temperatures of 20 ° C to 25 ° C, with averages of 16 ° C. In the winter, maximum of -5 ° C to 5 ° C, minimum of -20 ° C to -10 ° C, and average of -9 ° C. The average annual precipitation rate of rainfall is 32 centimeters, and the average annual precipitation rate of snow is 126 centimeters.
Gastronomy
Calgary displays an astronomical amount of culinary alternatives and there is not a single geographic region or specific cuisine that is not exactly represented there. Whether you are looking for a quick lunch, yet fresh and well-balanced; a tasteful brunch or a romantic candlelit dinner, Calgary invites you to enjoy the endless array of gastronomic delights.
